Sou Fujimoto‘s Sky Mountain Pavilion in Hainan, China, has formally been accomplished. Resting on a serene seaside nook of the holiday hotspot, the ethereal construction blends effortlessly into its pure surroundings, forming a “mountain within the sky.”
Surrounding cloudy white rings slope up and down gracefully like a jellyfish whereas the outside greenery area within the center continues the round motifs in a seashell-like aesthetic, resembling a watch seeking to the sky. Sou Fujimoto deliberately angles the constructing so it factors west, making it a fantastic spot for watching the sundown over the ocean. In the meantime, indoor public areas, which span roughly 800 sq. meters, make room for bookstores, cafes, seasonal exhibitions, and different actions.
